Network Marketing Online Works

Online Network MarketingMy upline likes to say that you can’t build a network marketing business solely online. In fact, one of my friends (unfortunately not on my team 🙁 ) who I helped get setup online was told not to distract his downline with all of this online nonsense.
I just don’t get it!
There are three big reasons that I like being online: reach, time and longevity.

1) Reach: Most network marketers struggle to reach people face-to-face even when they live in a large city. You have to find the people who are interested in what you have. That usually means convincing people to come out to a long in-home or hotel meeting. I don’t know about you, but I hate going to those things. I prefer to spend my evenings home with my family.
Doing network marketing online I have the potential to reach every person in the world who can get online. That’s more potential than I can ever use because the company I am with, Nikken, only operates in 38 countries. Further, I can only sell product directly in two countries, the US and Canada (which is a HUGE market). In the past few years I have had customers in all 50 US states and in most of the Canadian provinces if not all of them.
I don’t have to hunt people online. I just put my message out there and let people find it. They get to decide if it is right for them without me babbling on and on.
2) Time: Old-school face-to-face network marketing takes a lot of time. If you aren’t talking to someone then you aren’t making any money. Sure, in network marketing you are supposed to build and guid a team so that you don’t have to work all the time. You can let them make the money. Having a large team has its own headaches  and all of your income is dependent on them sticking with the program.
When I put content online it stays out there. It works for me 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and never takes a vacation (ok, websites go offline every now and then, but no where near as often as people). My posts continue to work for me while I’m sleeping, having dinner with my family, or outside playing with my kids. Being online allows me to build my network marketing business and leaves me free to do the things that I want to do. That’s what I like best about network marketing online.
3) Longevity: I have a confession to make. This is my first post on here in almost 2 years. My product website sat idle for about a year and a half until I started writing again last month. I got distracted with other things for a while and just last month decided to get back to this. My point is, I continued to make money every single month for the past year and a half even though I put no energy into building, or even maintaining, my business.
I’ll be honest. Over that long of a period it did shrink considerably, but it was still much more than enough to keep my distributorship active with the network marketing company.
If a network marketer working offline were to do that, they would be essentially starting from scratch when they returned.
So, what do you think? Do you agree that it is better to build your business in network marketing online? Leave me a comment below. Take the next step.
