I saw this quote from Robert Kiyosaki recently:
Don’t just try to find great opportunities. Find an opportunity and make it great.
Many people spend so much of their time looking for the perfect opportunity under the ideal circumstances that they never actually get started on any opportunity. The results are the same as never even looking for an opportunity – no results at all. It is better to get started on the opportunity right in front of you and make it great.
Sometimes you cannot know if an opportunity is great until you decide to see what you can make of it. Often, I think it is what you bring to the opportunity that makes it great, not the opportunity itself.
When I got started in network marketing with Nikken, the opportunity sucked. It had nothing to do with Nikken. It had everything to do with the fact that I did nothing with Nikken.
Four years ago I decided to take my Nikken business online. I had no idea what I was doing, only that I was going to do it and make it work. I didn’t like doing the traditional face-to-face network marketing, so I didn’t do well with it. I had to find another way. I received my first online orders in June 2008. In October 2011 I received an award for being a top 5 retailer. Not bad for three years of learning.
What do you think you could do with a network marketing opportunity like Nikken that allows you to build your business the way you want to?
