A lot has been going on so far this year with Nikken and I want to make sure that everyone on my team is up to speed with it all. With that in mind, a few days ago I got the idea to start a team newsletter.
Our Nikken Teammates
Before I go any farther, I want to recognize some people for what they have done so far this year. First, there are a few new people to the team.
- Susan in Schertz, TX joined at the end of December
- Kip (my Mom) in Augusta, GA joined in early February
- Seth in La Follette, TN joined at the end of February
Congratulations on taking the first step to get started with your Nikken business and remember that I am here to help you and encourage you in any way that I can.
Between Christmas 2011 and New Year 2012 Nikken was busy bringing the new Nikken.com and MyNikken.com websites to life. To say that the first few weeks of January were rough is a bit of an understatement. Most of that stuff has been worked out now and we are moving forward again.
Even with all of that going on, Mike in St. Lucie, FL and I both had our best months ever in January. We are both building our businesses exclusively online so I don’t know how we both did so well with the Nikken websites not working as they should.
In February, Mike continued what he was doing and surpassed his record from January. Congrats Mike! Keep it going!
What’s New With Nikken
I already mentioned the new websites. I will be honest. There are still some bugs that they are working out. Even so, the capabilities that are offered by these websites blow away what we had previously. Nikken is working hard to get the last issues fixed and to bring in the new functionality that people have requested. I am really excited by what these website have to offer us.
Discontinued Products
Back in October of last year Nikken announced that they were discontinuing some products.
- Aqua Pour and Aqua Pour Deluxe
- all ElastoMag support wraps
- Classic Collection stainless steel magnetic jewelry
- KenkoLight (I)
The Elastomag wraps started selling out immediately and were all gone by the end of December. The Aqua Pour Deluxe was also gone by the end of December. Nikken had higher quantities of the regular Aqua Pour and the jewelry, so they dropped the price to help it move. The Aqua Pour is now gone and only the jewelry remains.
Keep in mind, the replacement parts for the Aqua Pour and Aqua Pour Deluxe should continue to be available for another 4 years or so.
More recently, Nikken has also discontinued the Naturest Travel Pillow, Kenko Mini, and Kenko Super Mini. The travel pillow is already gone. These items already have a replacement product available that I will talk about in a minute.
The KenkoLight (I), jewelry, Kenko Mini, and Kenko Super Mini are all still available.
New Products
I know there are a lot of discontinued products. There are a lot of new ones too, so I’m just going to list them.
- PiMag Waterfall – released December 1, 2011 and replaces the Aqua Pour
- KenkoLight II – released December 1, 2011 and replaces the KenkoLight (I)
- Kenko PowerChip – released December 1, 2011 and replaces the Kenko Mini and Super Mini
- Kenko PowerBand in neon green – released December 1, 2011
- Kenko PowerBand in red – released in January
- Naturest Travel Pillow w/ SpyderRAM technology – released March 1 and replaces the old Travel Pillow
- Kenko PowerBand in Nikken green – coming on March 12.
Nikken has also updated the formula of the Lactoferring Gold 1.8 nutritional supplement.
A Little Bit of Training
Do you know about the coupon in the Vital Day Pack that is good for 40% off the sleep pack? I want to take just a few minutes to make sure that you understand it.
First, the Vital Day Pack contains several of Nikken’s most popular items, like the Magsteps and the Kenkoseat. You can see all of the pack contents here. The price of the pack is $599 retail. The cool thing for us as distributors is that it has a personal volume (PV) of 751. That’s a nice step toward your next rank advancement.
Now bring in the 40% coupon for the sleep pack. For a retail customer, the price for the Vital Day Pack + the sleep pack together with the coupon is less than the price for the sleep pack by itself for a queen or bigger. Here are the numbers for a queen sleep pack with light comforter:
$ 599 for the Vital Day Pack
$1284 for the sleep pack with 40% off coupon
———————————————
$1883 Sub-Total (doesn’t include tax and shipping)
The price for the queen sleep pack with light comforter by itself is $2140. That also gets you 2035 in personal volume (PV) which is enough to take you up one rank to Senior if you are brand new.
I employed this pack strategy for a large part of the volume that I needed to go Silver back in October, so it works.
So, that’s our first team newsletter. They will almost definitely be shorter in the future as this time I am catching you up on about five months of news. I look forward to welcoming new people in the future and sharing the successes of each and every person on the team. One of the things that I really like about Nikken is that I cannot succeed in my business unless you succeed in yours, so let’s work together and make this something big.
What you can do now to help me the most is leave a comment below. What would you like to see in this newsletter?
