Network Marketing and the Three Foot Rule

I love the three foot rule in network marketing, don’t you? Just in case you aren’t familiar with the three foot rule, it is the idea that you should share your business opportunity and product with everyone who comes within three feet of you. It kind of screams “I’m desperate!”
Do you really want everyone you know and meet to be on your network marketing team? That sounds like a lot of babysitting. That probably speaks for a large part of the drop-out rate in network marketing. Most of those people don’t have the real desire to build a business that can provide for them in the long-term. I prefer to be much more selective in my prospecting.
A better choice is to only talk to people who are already at least curious about starting a network marketing business. For me, I pretty much only talk about my business opportunity to people who I meet through this website. It is a great way to make sure that I’m not wasting my time talking to people who are definitely not interested.
