You get up every morning
From your alarm clock’s warning
Take the 8:15 into the city
There’s a whistle up above
And people pushin’, people shovin’
And the girls who try to look pretty
And if your train’s on time
You can get to work by nine
And start your slaving job to get your pay
If you ever get annoyed
Look at me I’m self-employed
I love to work at nothing all day
And I’ll be…
Taking care of business every day
Taking care of business every way
I’ve been taking care of business, it’s all mine
Taking care of business and working overtime
That’s the first verse of Takin’ Care of Business by Randy Bachman of Bachman Turner Overdrive and is about the music business, but it works just as well for network marketing.
I used to do all of that getting up early and to get to work and spend all day doing what other people wanted me to do just so that I could collect a paycheck. I hated to have to ask permission form a boss to take some time off to do something with my kids at their school.
I am much happier now that I’m working for myself from home “full-time” on my Nikken business. My cat gets me up in the morning now instead of an alarm clock. After I let him outside I spend an hour or two working on my website before I take my kids to school. I do most of my work in the morning while they are at school then I go pick them up and I have the afternoon to be with them or what ever I want to do.
If you are someone who has the desire to work from home for yourself and the willpower and dedication to take care of business everyday and stick with something long-term then I would love the opportunity to talk with you about what I’m doing and see if it is a good fit for you. Please leave a comment below or contact me at the email address or phone number above and let’s set up a time to talk.
